MY JOURNEY TO FITNESS: THE TALK OF SHAME

We’ve all been there. The shameless feeling of everyone knowing exactly how bad you messed up. That long scandalous walk back home, head hidden under the hood of your recently purchased Zara jacket; it’s all so taboo. Straining, stammering, struggling to get the words out to tell your girls your latest confession; it’s time for the talk of shame.

YEP! You guessed it, this is my first official confession post! As most of you know, about four months ago I began my #JourneyToFitness. I admitted that it was a journey that took me over four years to begin and that it would be a tough one. One filled with a series of motivation, slacking and vegetables with a hint of binge eating. That’s right guys, I back slid. I fell back into the trap we all have a love/hate relationship with; fast food. My trips to the gym became few and far between once university started and it has been extremely hard to get back on track. Anyone who knows me knows I do 101 things every day and once university started, fitness became a distant memory.

Having a part time job and living right next to the shopping centre in town hasn’t helped either. After hours of consistent standing in a retail store, serving customers who don’t care whether you’ve paid your rent or finished your nearly due essay, it’s no surprise all you crave is a steak bake from Greggs… or two.

But hey, I’m only human right? I mean, everyone makes mistakes and this is my open confession, my very own shameless taboo displayed for all to see. Granted, this is a mistake that needs to be learnt from, so all that’s left to do is fix the problem and get back on track.

Like I said in my first #MyJourneyToFitness post, by my 21st birthday 03/02/95, my body needs to have shown some sort of improvement. 21 doesn’t say pot belly boo boo, no it doesn’t.
So, once I’m back on track and able to balance my life accordingly, I’ll be back with the healthy lifestyle getting this tummy flat and that ass phat first thing every morning.
Scratch that, every other night.
